Dr. Clark Owns and operates a 15 employee small and exotic animal  medical and surgical veterinary hospital in Salinas, CA and an ambulatory large animal medical and minor surgical practice in Carmel Valley, CA.  Richard has years of experience working with captive and free-ranging North American wildlife, including, bighorn sheep, deer, elk, mountain lion, sea otter, CA sea lion, and wild hogs. He has worked nationally and internationally with captive African and Asian species such as elephant, black rhinoceros, lion, snow leopard, and tiger.

Over 35 scientific and popular publications, text chapters, letters or monographs from 1982-2007.  Approximately 40% of these as first author and 65% peer reviewed. Editor, Wildlife Restraint Series, a wildlife capture and immobilization text.
